About Zuka Kotrikadze

The photographs of Zuka Kotrikadze are minimalist compositions with shape and form created from elements of architecture, symmetry, color, and the individual isolated figure. At age 21 Zuka has been doing photography for only four years and yet has, in that short time, developed a distinctive style. Shooting with a mobile phone camera he has produced a consistent body of work that has drawn recognition in photo exhibitions and competitions in Georgia, his home country, as well as in other parts of Europe.

Since his first solo exhibition in 2018 Zuka’s work has been shown in public art exhibitions in Tbilisi and Batumi, Georgia, and he was recipient of a Newcomer Award at the 2019 Kolga Tbili Photo Festival. In 2019 his work was exhibited in Paris at the Cheerz Photo Festival, an international show of mobile phone photos. Zuka was also a finalist in the 2019 World Bank “The End of Poverty” photo competition. The Berlin-based stock agency EyeEm recently awarded him membership in their exclusive portfolio The Collective.

In addition to his work as a photographer Zuka is a student of economics at Georgian University.
